Police: Cell phone fight led to fatal stabbing at McDonald's restaurant

LAS VEGAS -- A man was killed in a stabbing Thursday morning during an argument over a cell phone, Metro Police said.

"He told the guy he couldn't use his cell phone and they started arguing and the guy stabbed him in the neck," said Kenneth Parolini, a friend  and roommate of the victim.

According to Metro Police, the stabbing took place around 8:30 a.m. outside a McDonald's restaurant on Sahara Avenue near Rancho Drive. Police say two men got into an argument inside the restaurant which ended with a stabbing outside the restaurant. Children and adults inside the restaurant watched in disbelief.

"It's just stupid, stupidity over a phone," Parolini said.

He says his friend had three children and was looking for a job to help support them.

Police have not made any arrests in this case. This is the 33rd murder in Metro's jurisdiction.
