Police hope surveillance video will nab burglary suspects

LAS VEGAS-- Detectives with LVMPD have released surveillance video of three men that they think are responsible for a rash of burglaries in Southwest Las Vegas.  Officers said several burglaries occurred in the area of Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive.

During one of the incidents captured on surveillance cameras outside of one resident's home, the suspects are seen walking slowly around the property as they check it out.  Detectives said a victim in the 7600 block of Corvina Avenue told them back on July 2, 2014 that at around 9:30 p.m. they heard what sounded like glass shattering from the back window.

When the homeowner checked things out, they realized someone unsuccessfully tried to gain entry by breaking a window.  Detectives said the suspects are described as three males in their late teens to early twenties.

They weigh approximately 140-160 pounds with average heights and builds.  Officers said the suspects were also seen wearing backpacks and carrying flashlights.

Anyone with information regarding this crime should call the LVMPD Enterprise Area Command Property Crimes Section at 702-828-4810.  Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
