Police investigating homicide near Gary Dexter Park

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police are searching for two men possibly involved in an overnight murder in West Las Vegas.

Metro homicide Lt. Dan McGrath said a man was found dead in the middle of the street near Cory Place and Soprano Lane, south of Gary Dexter Park, shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday night.  McGrath said the victim, a Hispanic man in his 30's, had injuries to his head and face, but was not shot.

 

Witnesses told police they saw two men jump a wall into the nearby Tiffany Place Apartments.  Detectives could not immediately say if they were related to the murder.

Police at the scene did not release the identity of the victim.
