Police Investigating Two Separate Stabbings

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating two stabbings that happened at two different places at almost the same time Monday afternoon.

The first one happened about 2:30 p.m., at the Salvation Army Shelter at 33 West Owens Ave. According to police, two homeless men got into a fight, and one was stabbed in the head. Police said one person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The second stabbing happened at a home in the 1900 block of S. Martin Luther King Boulevard just after 2:30 p.m. Police said a woman was taken into custody in connection with a domestic disturbance. A man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
