NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Police in North Las Vegas are reaching out to find any other patients who may have been assaulted by a local doctor who was arrested last week on suspicion of sexual assaulting a 68-year-old woman during a physical exam.
Police say they've been investigating 34-year-old Dr. Mane Shah since the incident on Nov. 2. He's accused of assaulting the woman in her room at North Vista Hospital and is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of open and gross lewdness.
Shah is licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, pending the outcome of the investigation. However, administrators at North Vista Hospital say they have suspended his privilege to practice there. Shad also has privileges to practice at Sunrise and Mountain View hospitals.
Shah works for a company called IPC which assigns doctors to hospital patients. 8 News NOW contacted the company but officials declined to discuss whether Shah was still employed.
Members of the Board of Medical Examiners say Shah has been practicing internal medicine since 2008.
Anyone with information is urged to call North Las Vegas Police Department at (702)633-9111, or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers at (702)385-5555.
