#ICYMI: Pomeranians rescued from truck off legal hold; will soon be available for adoption

LAS VEGAS - The more than 160 Pomeranians rescued from a truck last week, will soon be available for adoption because the dogs have been released from their legal hold, according to the Animal Foundation.

The truck filled with Pomeranians was found on Nov. 30 in the 3400 block of Tonto St. in Sandy Valley near the California/Nevada state line.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found roughly 164 Pomeranian dogs inside a box truck. They were left unattended by the breeder, without any food and water. Many of them were covered with feces.

Authorities believe the owner, a woman was possibly running a mill out of her truck.

The dogs were taken to the Animal Foundation where they were groomed, and medical checks were conducted.

The Animal Foundation sent the following statement:

Thank you for your continued interested in the rescued Pomeranians. These dogs have been released from their legal hold and will soon be available for adoption. Due to the large number of dogs and the time required to prepare them for adoption, this requires careful planning to ensure a smooth process for finding them loving homes. We appreciate your patience and ask that you watch our website and social media channels for an adoption update in the very near future. Please also note that the dogs are not yet available for viewing.
