Ralph Nader Visited Las Vegas Sunday

(Aug. 30) -- Nevada Democrats are taking their case against Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader to court Monday. They're questioning the validity of signatures gathered to get him on the ballot.

Nader was here in the valley over the weekend and addressed that among other issues. Nader talked with voters at the Las Vegas Library. He touched on the war in Iraq, universal health care and Nevada's dependence on the gaming industry. He also talked about efforts to get him off the Nballot.

"Stop trying to obstruct us, Democratic Party, with your dirty tricks," commented Nader

Jon Summers, with the Nevada Democratic Party, said, "Dirty tricks are telling people they are signing things they are not. Dirty tricks is telling people they are signing an initiative. Dirty tricks is potential forgery, that's what we're looking at."

Nader says democrats need to focus on the issues and registering voters, not on him.
