Reactions to Jessica Williams' Appeal

(Feb. 5) -- Jessica Williams, the young woman who ran over and killed 6 teens when she feel asleep at the wheel, is getting another day in court. The 24-year-old is in the process of having her case over-turned, but the State Supreme Court will hear an appeal on Monday.

The former stripper fell asleep at the wheel hours after smoking marijuana. Her car drifted onto the highway shoulder killing 6 teens working on a county clean-up crew.

Williams is serving 18 to 48 years at the Southern Nevada Women's Correctional Facility for having drugs in her system when the accident occurred. But she was acquitted of driving under the influence.

The victim's families have been working closely with the non-profit organization -- Stop DUI -- and say that a new trial would be painful. Sandy Heverly with Stop GUI says, "Our victims families are telling me that they don't know if they can tolerate a new trial, or they don't have any idea how they will cope with this if the guilty verdict is overturned."
