Reid, Foe Angle Both Oppose Mosque Near 9/11 Site

RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Nevada Republican who wants to unseat him in November have finally found something they agree on.

Like Reid, former GOP state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle says no mosque should be built in New York City near Ground Zero.

Angle told reporters in Reno on Wednesday that the U.S. Constitution gives Americans the right to do what they please with their private property. But she added that "with rights, come responsibilities."

In this case, she said the responsibility is more important given the suffering that resulted from the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Angle said, "Sometimes we have to give up our rights for the sensibility of others, to be sensitive to their needs."
