Report Details Conditions Inside Closed Restaurant

LAS VEGAS -- The Southern Nevada Health District released the inspection report from Firefly on Paradise that lead to the restaurant being closed Friday.

According to the report, there were several instances of food not being held at the proper temperature, including raw and cooked pork, beef and seafood.

The health inspector also observed employees not properly washing their hands and food not being properly stored. The report also notes that fruit flies and small moths were seen in the facility.

In all, 44 demerits were recorded at the restaurant.

Firefly on Paradise Inspection Report

An outbreak of salmonella at the popular tapas restaurant sickened at least 39 people and forced at least 10 of those people to get medical attention for the vomiting and stomach cramps.

The restaurant will remain closed until the health district determines exactly where the contamination started.
