Report: Man threatened to attack Larry Flynt's Hustler Club

LAS VEGAS - A man is facing charges after threatening to set off a "big bang" with guns, bombs and knives at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club in Las Vegas if he wasn't paid money.

Christopher Watkins, 33, is charged with making threats and extortion. He was arrested Feb. 22 but sent for a mental evaluation. He was booked into Clark County Detention Center Thursday, according to court records.

Watkins is accused of sending numerous electronic messages to the club's Facebook page for nearly a year. According to his arrest report, the messages includes references and videos of mass serial killers, threats to commit a mass shooting or blow up the club. He demanded to be paid thousands of dollars to avoid an attack.

In one post, Watkins' wrote, "I am going to break the Orlando nightclub record." He was referring to the mass shooting in an Orlando nightclub in 2016 that left 49 people dead.

Watkins also made specific threats to blow up the club during its Super Bowl party which caused the club to hire extra security and request extra patrols from Metro, the report said. 

The company said Watkins' threats frightened employees.

According to his arrest report, Watkins claimed he had an altercation with some employees in the past.
