Reports: Mandalay Bay hotel security didn't call police when guard was shot

LAS VEGAS - New details in the mass shooting in Las Vegas were released Monday.  ABC News reports hotel security at Mandalay Bay didn't call 9-1-1, after finding out one their guards had been shot.  The guard shot by the shooter Stephen Paddock was Jesus Campos.

Campos was shot outside gunman Paddock's room while he was checking on an alarm that was going off on the 32nd floor.

In the updated timeline Metro Police released this week, there were six minutes between when Campos was shot and when Paddock first opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival crowd.

A total of 58 people died in the shooting that's being called the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.  Nearly 500 others were injured. The gunman, Paddock, took his own life.
