Road rage, hit & run incident leaves motorcyclist in critical condition

LAS VEGAS - Nevada Highway Patrol are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a white Audi responsible for a hit-and-run crash on a motorcycle.

Witnesses tell NHP that the Audi and black Kawasaki Sport bike were involved in a road rage incident around 8:30 p.m. on I-215 westbound near S. Durango.

The vehicles were speeding and cutting each other off, according to one witness.

NHP Troopers say at some point the Audi contacted the motorcycle, causing the Audi to lose its driver side mirror, investigators have the mirror as evidence during this investigation.

After the impact between the Audi and motorcycle, the motorcycle rear ended a Mazda Miata.

The 35-year-old motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.

No other injuries were reported.

If the driver of the Audi is located, they will be charged with felony hit and run, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
