Roadrunner Saloon damaged by fire

LAS VEGAS - A fire caused major damage to the Roadrunner Saloon in the northwest valley on Sunday morning.

The bar and restaurant is located in the area of Washington Avenue and Buffalo Drive. The fire started around 9:41 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the roof of the one story wood frame building, according to investigators with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.

Smoke conditions made the attack difficult and a second alarm was requested. It took about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control, fire investigators said.

The fire gutted the kitchen area and the dining area was heavily damaged by smoke. Fire investigators believe the fire caused about $250,000 in damage.

The fire has been ruled an accident. No one at the restaurant was injured.
