Search Resumes for St. George Man

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) -- The search for a Utah man missing for five months has resumed in the southern Nevada desert.

About 70 people combed an area south of the Henderson Executive Airport in search of clues in the disappearance of 30-year-old Steven Koecher. The St. George man's car was found abandoned in Henderson in December.

Henderson police say some bone fragments were found in the search Saturday but did not appear to be human. Detective Rob McKay says the fragments will be turned over to the coroner's office to determine what kind of bones they were.

A private investigator hired by the family says he received a tip from a reliable source who said the area would be worth searching.
