Second Nurse Arrested in Hepatitis C Case

LAS VEGAS - The second nurse anesthetist who is facing charges in the hepatitis C outbreak case has been arrested in Georgia.

Ronald Lakeman was arrested Tuesday night in Columbus, Georgia. Lakeman has waived his extradition and will return to Las Vegas to face charges of negligence, racketeering and insurance fraud.

Lakeman, nurse anesthetist  Keith Mathahs and Dr. Dipak Desai are accused of infecting at least seven patients by using unsafe injection procedures.
