Second Person ID'd in Mesquite Slaying

LAS VEGAS -- The Mesquite Police Department identified the second person killed Saturday as Mark Anthony Parenti, 57, of Mesquite.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said the cause of death was asphyxiation.

On Tuesday, Mesquite police officer Jeffrey Smith said 30-year-old Jeremiah Juber of Hurricane, Utah, was arrested Monday in the ongoing investigation into the slayings at a home on East Mesquite Boulevard.

Police said 43-year-old Ryan Wood was arrested after police were called about 6 p.m. Saturday to the home and 50-year-old Michael Eldredge was found mortally wounded.

Eldredge later died at Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Police later found Parenti's body in the house's basement.
