Shots Fired Inside Consignment Store

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating a shooting at a store near Eastern and Serene avenues.

According to police, two shots were fired inside a consignment store just before 4 p.m. Tuesday. Two men went into the store with their faces covered.

One of the robbers had a sweater that appeared to have a security patch symbol, the police said. Armed with a hammer, he went up to a jewelry case and began smashing the glass.

The manager ordered her workers out through the back of the store. The manager went back into the store, grabbed a gun and told the robbers to stop. She then fired two shots. She told police she believes she shot one of the robbers because of a trail of blood inside the store.

The robbers got into a Dodge pickup truck and left. Police have since found the pickup on Boulder Highway near Boulder Station Casino.
