Smart Phone Apps & Teens

Remember car phones? I do. We had one in the late 80's. Everyone in my elementary school thought is was very cool. By the 1990's, car phones were out and mega mobile phones were in. I just recently saw the old move "My Best Friend's wedding" again on TV. In the end when Julia Roberts pulls out a cell phone, I cracked up! That sucker was HUGE.

Now days, cell phones are out and smart phones are in. Smart Phones offer so much. As a new mom, I'm not too worried about my baby getting her hands on my iPhone but if I were a parent to a teen, I'd want to know what apps are on their phones. Thankfully a group called commonsensemedia.org rates apps that are popular with kids and teens.

You can check out their site here.

After you do, find out if your teen has access to any apps you are concerned about.

If you use the site and like it, let me know! I'd love to hear about your experience.
