As a stadium plan hangs in the balance, Washoe County commissioners are set to choose three people to fill vacancies in the Nevada Legislature.
The commissioners are meeting in Reno Tuesday ahead of an expected special session to consider raising the hotel tax in the Las Vegas area to help build an NFL stadium that could attract the Oakland Raiders to the city.
Gov. Brian Sandoval could call the special legislative session in coming weeks.
The commissions postponed the task last week after the Reno Gazette-Journal raised transparency concerns, saying the names of potential appointees were not published on meeting agendas.
