Tarkanian Middle School custodian arrested

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas Metro Police arrested a custodian who works at Tarkanian Middle School for three counts of unlawful contact with a minor or mentally ill person.

Jesus Acosta, 56, was arrested on Saturday, according the Clark County Detention Center records. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. His bail is set at $6,000.

School district officials say he has been with the district since 2014 and he is currently on unpaid leave. No other information was given on the case.

Acosta is the 11th district employee to be arrested this year connected to inappropriate behavior.
