Taxi Cabs Cos. Offer $35K Reward in Strip Killings

LAS VEGAS -- Taxi cab companies are offering a $35,000 reward for information that leads to the capture of Ammar Harris, 26, wanted in connection with the killing of three people on the Las Vegas Strip Feb. 21.

The Las Vegas taxi cab industry, which made the announcement Tuesday afternoon outside police headquarters, donated the money to the Reward Trust help find and arrest Harris, who is wanted on three counts of homicide.

The Reward Trust mentioned is not being facilitated or promoted by or through Crime Stoppers or Metro Police. Persons wishing to be eligible for the mentioned reward must meet the eligibility requirements of the Reward Trust. To obtain the terms of the Reward Trust such inquiry should be directed to Jeffery Burr, Ltd. at 702-433-4455.

Anyone with information is urged to call Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555. Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward from Crime Stoppers of Nevada.
