Toddler in critical condition after being pulled from pool

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- A 20-month-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from a backyard pool at a home near Aliante Parkway and Elkhorn Road in North Las Vegas.

According to North Las Vegas Police, family members found the toddler unconscious in the pool at around 10:45 a.m. Monday.

"It sends a bone chilling effect through your body, you wish you could have been there to grab him yourself," neighbor Jennifer Bunker said.

Police are investigating how long he was in the pool and how he was able to get in. They do not know if anyone will face charges.

"Some of the questions they will be looking into is who exactly was home at the time this incident occurred and what exactly are the circumstances that led to the boy being in the pool," North Las Vegas Police Sgt. Chrissie Coon said.
