Two-alarm fire burns Las Vegas apartment

LAS VEGAS - An early-morning fire burned at least one unit of an apartment complex east of the Las Vegas Strip.

The fire started in a third-floor unit of the Villas at Desert Pointe on Sierra Vista Dr and Cambridge St. around 1 a.m.  

The fire was knocked down quickly and no one was hurt.

A similar early-morning fire damaged several units of that same complex May 17th.  That fire started in a ground-floor unit and spread to other apartments.

Following that fire, some residents told reporters they felt the complex was unsafe.
