UNLV police issues safety alert; woman photographed while in restroom

LAS VEGAS - Police officers on the campus of UNLV sent out a safety alert to students Wednesday. According to University Police Services, a female student's privacy was violated on Sept. 10 while she used the restroom at Beam Hall Engineering building. 

Officers said the student was unlawfully photographed by someone using a cell phone at approximately 2:30 p.m. The student scared the person off when she yelled for the person to stop.

University Police services wants to remind students, faculty, and staff to remain vigilant at all times.
