UPDATE: Crews repair gas leak in North Las Vegas

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Southwest Gas has repaired a gas leak in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street. The gas line was ruptured around 6:45 a.m., Southwest Gas officials said.

The Clark County School District says the gas leak temporarily closed Desert Rose Adult High School and Jeffrey Behavior Senior High School, but both schools have re-opened.

The North Las Vegas Police Department had to close Brooks Avenue between Commerce Street and Revere Street while Southwest Gas made the repairs.
