UPDATE: Driver identified in crash that killed three kids

LAS VEGAS - Police have arrested 28-year-old Joseph Eskandarian after they say he crashed into a group of kids, killing three of them. 

The crash happened near E. Desert Inn Road and Ocean Crest Street in east Las Vegas around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Witnesses say Eskandarian lost control of the unregistered 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The car drove up on the sidewalk, hit a light pole, and struck the four kids, according to investigators with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. 

Three of the boys, ages 12, 13, and 14, died at the scene of the crash. Another 13-year-old boy suffered substantial injuries, but he's expected to survive, police said. 

Witnesses told police the driver of the car ran from the scene of the crash. Police found and arrested Eskandarian six hours later, according to investigators.
