UPDATE: Missing 80-year-old woman found dead in car, police says

HENDERSON, Nev. - A missing 80-year-old Henderson woman has died.  According to police, Janine Cassidy was found dead in her car Thursday evening around 5:30 p.m.

Cassidy's car was found in a parking lot near the 2700 block of East Pebble Road, Henderson Police said.

According to officers, Cassidy hadn't been seen since Wednesday around 11:45 a.m. when she was driving in the area of Saint Rose Parkway and Interstate 215.

Cassidy was driving in a tan 2007 Lincoln Town Car to Saint Rose Dominican Hospital – Siena Campus, to meet with a family member, but she never arrived.

According to her family, she possibly had early onset of dementia.

The Clark County Coroner said Cassidy died of Arteriosclerotic cardio vascular disease and other environmental conditions of heat stress.
