Vegas feeling economic impact in McGregor/Mayweather bout

LAS VEGAS - Call it what you want, but also call it a money maker for southern Nevada in late August. The real winner in the mega summer boxing showdown will be Las Vegas when Conor McGregor faces Floyd Mayweather Jr.

A basic room at the MGM Grand for the August 26 bout is already approaching $500, according to the Las Vegas Convention Visitors Authority.
