Veterans Day parade organizer dies

LAS VEGAS - Just two days before the Veterans Day parade, organizer Billy Stojack, one of the event's main driving forces, died.

Stojack, 71, passed away Thursday night.

Jerry Adams, one of the other original organizers, says Stojack had just finished reviewing the route, but missed the Thursday night meeting. His son found him dead.

Stojack was a Navy veteran who served with Seal Team 6 during the Vietnam War, according to Adams.

The pair were part of a group of vets who resurrected the Veterans Day parade in the mid-90s.
