Victim of NLV Homicide Identified

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The victim of a fatal shooting Sunday morning in North Las Vegas has been identified as 32-year-old Ricardo A. Mora of North Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Neftali Felipe Rodriguez, Mora's cousin, is under arrest for allegedly shooting and killing Mora in North Las Vegas.

Police responded to a call of a shooting shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Terneza Avenue near Pecos Road and Tropical Parkway. Police discovered Mora with an apparent gunshot wound. He died a short time later.

Police later arrested Rodriguez. Rodriguez allegedly fled the scene following the shooting. He was located near Craig Road and I-15 shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday.

Rodriguez faces one count each of murder with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm.
