Violence against police: How's it affecting valley officers?

Police officers in San Diego are reeling from an ambush on officers that occurred early Friday morning.  The San Diego Police Department said two police officers had to radio for help and an "emergency cover" during a traffic stop.

Both officers were shot several times in the chest, and one officer died at the hospital.  One person was taken into police custody, but San Diego Police says they're still searching for additional suspects.

It's incidents like the ones in Dallas, Baton Rouge, and most recently, San Diego that keeps officers around the country on edge. 

8 News NOW Reporter Mauricio Marin spent the day with North Las Vegas Police to see how the police shootings are affecting local law enforcement officers.
