Warrant Wednesday: Warrant issued for accused robbers, Steven Gao and Edward Land

LAS VEGAS - The Clark County District Attorney's office and local law enforcement are committed to getting accused criminals off the streets, so the district attorney's office has decided to spotlight wanted fugitives every week for Warrant Wednesday.

The Warrant Wednesday for Jan. 11 is about two men wanted for the same crime.  Both Steven Gao and Edward Land (aka Chunhua Lu) are wanted in connection with a robbery at the Rio Hotel and Casino.  According to authorities, it happened in Feb. 2011.

Gao is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon.  He's also charged with robbery with use of a deadly weapon.

Gao was indicted on these charges in April of 2011.

On March 21, 2013, Land (aka Chunhua Lu) signed a Guilty Plea
Agreement and admitted to conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery. However, he did not show up for his sentencing hearing, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of either of these fugitives is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
