Woman killed while hiking near Red Rock Canyon Identified

LAS VEGAS -- The woman who fell to her death while hiking at Red Springs near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Friday has been identified.

The Coroner's Office says she's 60-year-old Linda Brock of Las Vegas.

According to Metro Police, the accident happened at around 7 p.m. They say she fell 35 to 40 feet while hiking with a group of people.

No word on what caused her to fall. Her cause of death was blunt force trauma to the torso.
