Woman's body found in burned mobile home in Sandy Valley

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police and the Clark County fire investigators are looking into a fatal fire in Sandy Valley.

According to police, Clark County Fire dispatchers received a call about a fire at a home in the area at around 10:20 a.m. Monday. The callers also reported that the woman who lives at the house was still inside.

When firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Station 77 in Sandy Valley arrived, the house was engulfed in flames. After crews had the fire out, they found a woman in her mid-60s and three dogs dead in the home.

Metro Police and fire investigators were called out to investigate. Police have not confirmed that this is a homicide, but the death is under investigation. The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the name of the victim and the cause of death.
