Zappos offers to help pay for funeral-related costs of shooting victims

LAS VEGAS - Zappos plans to help the victims of the Las Vegas massacre. In a statement released Thursday, the online shoe and clothing store said:

"Las Vegas is our home. We are deeply saddened by the events that happened on Sunday night, and we are working to ensure our employees and community are supported during this difficult time. In addition, Zappos is matching donations, up to $1 million, to help support victims and their families. "

On Oct. 1, a gunman opened fire on patrons of the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The gunman, Stephen Paddock, shot his rounds from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino killing 58 and injuring nearly 500 others.
