Body found inside burned out car in northern part of Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police detectives are investigating the discovery of a body inside a burning car Thursday morning.

Las Vegas Fire Department responded to the burning car at 6600 Castor Tree Lane near Rainbow Boulevard and Peak Drive around 4:40 a.m.

Once there, they found a body inside. Metro homicide detectives were called to the scene.

Detectives say there are looking to see if there is a connection between the burned out car and a robbery that occurred at the nearby Five Star Tavern around the same time.

Witnesses reported seeing two suspects fleeing in a car matching the description of the burned out vehicle.
