LAS VEGAS - Three people suffered serious injuries and a child died in an auto-pedestrian crash, near Boulevard Mall.
Metro Police are investigating a deadly crash involving multiple pedestrians, near Katie Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
The crash occurred before 6:30 p.m. Monday night when four people were struck by a car while in a marked crosswalk. One victim, who was 4-years-old, died at a nearby hospital. The other victims are a woman, a 1-year-old, and 2-year-old child.
The two children are expected to survive, but the woman is in extremely critical condition, according to police.
The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The initial information given to 8 News NOW by police said that the 4-year-old child killed in the crash was Fatima Ahmadi's child, but that information was wrong. The family sent the following statement to clarify things.
The family would like to clarify that they have one child, a daughter, age four. Their daughter was injured but is expected to survive. The Ahmadis send their prayers to the family whose child lost his life along with Fatema.
