Bail was set at $1 million for a Las Vegas valley mother charged in the death of her 2-year-old daughter over the weekend.

Linette Boedicker, 44, also known as Linette Warrichaiet appeared in Las Vegas Justice Court Tuesday morning. She is facing a murder charge in the drowning death of Kiersten Linette Boedicker. The child was found lifeless in a bathtub on Saturday after Boedicker called 911. Police said Boedicker held the child under the water until she stopped breathing.

Boedicker’s attorney said her client’s statements about drowning the child may have been unlawfully obtained. She argued for a bail of $50,000 but Judge Joseph Bonaventure went with a $1 million bail.
