The Clark County School District released Monday recommendations from Superintendent Jesus Jara’s Safety Advisory Committee.
In October, Jara announced changes to the school safety policies were coming during a news conference where he also students would be subject to random searches.
The news came after a total of 11 guns were confiscation from students at CCSD schools since the start of the school year.
Jara said the district worked with a group of principals, police officers, and community leaders on the safety issue recommendations.
