Death of 63-year-old Lake Las Vegas woman ruled homicide, suspect arrested

HENDERSON (KLAS) — Henderson police have taken 62-year-old Alan Sylwester in connection to a homicide that occurred at 8:00 a.m. on March 4.

According to police, the City of Henderson Fire and Police Department responded to the 100 block of Caminito Amore, near Lake Las Vegas, after reports of an unresponsive 63-year-old female in the home.

A preliminary investigation indicated that circumstances surrounding the woman’s death suggested foul play. The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled the death as a homicide on May 9.

After an in-depth investigation, Sylwester was arrested for Open Murder on May 15. This is being investigated as the fifth homicide in Henderson for 2019.
