Let the madness begin! Tourists are flooding into Las Vegas this weekend with basketball on the mind. Sports books and bars will be packed over the next four days with people cheering for their teams and their brackets.
Every year the first rounds of the NCAA basketball tournament are one of the biggest weekends for local resorts. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, local hotel rooms were 98.1% filled during the first weekend of the tournament, making it the fourth-busiest weekend of the year for Las Vegas.
The American Gaming Association expects Americans will be a staggering $8.5-billion on the tournament.
