Police hope public can ID man who stole teen's chemotherapy medicine

GoFundMe page helps raise money for boy's medicine

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police are looking for the man who stole a 14-year-old boy's chemotherapy medicine last week.

Gage Haynes and his mother Sandy say the man stole the medicine from their front porch in a Summerlin neighborhood near Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard on Feb. 7.

The suspect was captured on video and is described as a white man between 20 to 30 years old between 5-foot-8-inches to 6-foot tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt and red baseball cap.

Last year, the family set up a GoFundMe page to pay for the chemo medicine, but since the story first aired, donations have picked up.

If you have information on the suspect's identity or whereabouts, police urge you to contact them at (702) 828-8577, or if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crimestoppers at (702) 385-5555 or go to www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
