LAS VEGAS (AP) — Meteorologist Tedd Florendo said clouds and moderate showers started moving in on the west side of town Tuesday afternoon.
There will be strong gusty winds and the potential for isolated thunderstorms between 2 p.m.-7 p.m. A light pole fell into the street on Channel 8 Drive, near Channel 8 Drive and Desert Inn Road.
Tuesday the temperature cooled off tremendously only reaching the mid-60s. On Monday, the temps were in the 80s.
Thunderstorm threats could bring gusty winds and a brief downpour. There is also a threat of lightning, thunder, and hail.
Once the rain moves out, a rapid warm-up will move in. The Las Vegas valley is expected to reach the 90s by Friday.
