LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter when she submerged her in a bathtub filled with water told police she did it because she “wanted her to go back to God.”
The report said Linette Boedicker, 44, also known as Linette Warrichaiet, called 9-1-1, saying that her child had drowned and wasn’t breathing. When officers arrived at the home, Boedicker opened the door and led officers to the bathroom where the child was found floating face up in the tub.
One of the officers scooped the toddler out of the tub and took her to the hallway to perform CPR. Clark County Fire and Rescue and Medic West arrived minutes later to treat the child and rush her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
When Boedicker was asked what happened she told officers, “I held her under. I wanted her to go back to God so he can’t touch her anymore,” the report said.
Police immediately placed Boedicker under arrest and took her into custody. The report said Boedicker admitted drowning her daughter and told officers she didn’t care what happened to her because her life was over.
