SCHOOL WATCH: School closures and delays for Friday, Feb. 22

Local News

The Clark County School District has canceled all school and after-school activities for Friday, Feb. 22.

The school district sent the following statement:

The Clark County School District is canceling all school and after-school activities, including athletics and Safekey, tomorrow, February 22, 2019, due to reports of potential freezing conditions on the roads that would be unsafe for school buses during the morning commute.

All students are excused from school tomorrow. The school day will need to be made up this school year. Employees should check for more information on their schedule tomorrow.

The cancelation will give students a three-day weekend for the second time in a row.  There weren’t any classes Monday, Feb. 18 because of a holiday —  President’s Day.
