LAS VEGAS - Vegas Golden Knights fans go above and beyond to rep the team during the Stanley Cup Final. From jerseys, t-shirts, and hats to suits and bowties monogrammed with the VGK brand.
Cindy Novak says she enjoys arts and craft so when a friend asked her to make a bow tie for a formal event, she decided to use the Golden Knights fabric she found at a local store, and it was an instant hit.
8 News NOW Traffic Anchor Nate Tannenbaum has been a fan of the custom made Golden Knights bow tie, Novak made for him. But he's not the only one: Local K-9 celebrity Bark Andre-Fleury also has one.
Novak started making them for family and friends but other fans started reaching out to her through social media wanting to get their hands on some of the unique items.
Novak also makes key chains and Mickey Mouse ears. According to Novak, making her products is her way to give back to the team that brought the community together after the 1 October tragedy.
"This is my little fingerprint on it if you will, Novak said. "You know, someway to participate, go to the games of course, and everything but bringing people together, meeting new people. "It's just been really fun."
