Detective Travis Cord, Detective Brian Jackson, and Detective Brian Redsul have been identified as the officers involved in the Jan. 31 shooting, which occurred in the 500 block of Poplar Leaf Street.
According to police, they were attempting to take a man wanted for several violent felony crimes into custody when the man began ramming his vehicle into police vehicles. The man was shot and transported to the hospital with critical injuries, police said.
Detective Cord is 46 years old and has been employed with the LVMPD since March of 2000. Detective Jackson is 45 years old and has been employed with the LVMPD since November of 2006. Detective Brian Redsull is 35 years old and has been employed with the Henderson Police Department since March of 2006.
They are all are assigned to the Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) which is a Federal Bureau of Investigation led task force staffed in the LVMPD’s Major Violators Bureau.
