New surveillance video of a massive three-alarm fire that devasted half a dozen local businesses in Las Vegas was just released exclusively to 8 News NOW.

In the video, the fire could be seen spreading through one of the businesses.

On Tuesday, the Asian Culture Center held an emergency meeting to find a new location and create a plan to move forward. 8 News NOW spoke with the non-profit, and they said they might have a clue that could help them determine what caused the fire.

The president of the Asian Culture Alliance found out from the security company Tuesday that their building was equipped with a camera inside the center that uploads video to a cloud-based server.

The fire that destroyed part of their culture roared through six buildings.

“Everybody was crying — everybody,” said Cavin Fung, the founder of Asian Culture Alliance.

The Asian Culture Alliance Center promotes art, culture, and education in the Asian community.  The Center moved into the plaza in May, but because of the fire, it has lost nearly everything.

Fung said he has talked to investigators trying to determine the extent of the damage.

“It’s starting to hit because it was just shocking in the beginning, and I just realized that our major event is coming up,” Fung said.

The center was preparing for its 2nd Annual Asian Culture Day on Nov. 12.  However, part of their past has been lost in the flames.

Fung is hoping to find answers in the security system footage that appears to show the fire may have been started from outside.

“I just found that we may have a real clue which is that we do have a camera in the center that is a recorder — cloud based recorder so I will find that out as soon as possible,” said Fung.

Regardless of what investigators determine caused the fire Fung promises the center will come back like a Pheonix.

The Asian Culture Alliance typically holds a meeting on every second Tuesday of the month at their location on Valley View Drive.
