The 28th annual “90-Plus Banquet” was held Thursday at the East Las Vegas Community Center.
What’s it all about?
The City just wants to honor anyone who’s at least 90 years old. That’s it. They’re invited to a free dinner at a local community center with entertainment and special awards for those in attendance.
Goodie baskets are given to the oldest person in attendance as well as for the couple that’s been married the longest, and the person with the most great grandchildren.
City of Las Vegas Program Specialist Lettie Peters has organized the event since its inception, arranging the various themes for each year as well as the menu for the attendees.
8NewsNow Traffic and Weather Anchor Nate Tannenbaum has been the MC of the 90+ Banquet for more than 25 years.
